During the process of filming our Prelim we had a few issues. Our first issue that we had to face was the location we were going to use for our Prelim, we had to make sure that it will be available for when we need it however we did manage to find a room which was empty and we used it under permission. The second problem we had with our Prelim was that we failed to wear the same clothes as we did on the first day of the filming the Prelim, so therefore we could not film any Prelim that day because we didn’t have the same appropriate clothes on. The other problem we had was that we couldn’t shoot the clips we generally wanted to put in our Prelim because the video we had already made was over a minute and we still had to crop some bits out which we wanted to keep however after getting rid of the waste bits, we got a video clip which was 53 seconds exactly and that was just about right. The major mistake we saw once we watched our video with the class was that the first part of our Prelim where Haris is walking down the corridor to enter the classroom the camera is recording portrait and then as soon as I have entered the room Freddie started recording me landscape, the rest of the video was recorded landscape but the feedback we got from Mr Clifford and the year 13 was that record landscape not portrait because when it comes to watching it, it will look better and wider however this did make it us look a bit unprofessional. Year 13 complimented our clip by saying that our clip had good continuity which is quite complicated to do however Freddie done a good job of it. The clip was good but we specifically got told to do the shot where I am going to open the door and Freddie is supposed to record my hand opening the door but we failed to do that but we still got a good result. Another problem we had with filming was that the corridor I had to walk down to approach the classroom was really busy so we had to stop recording several times because of it, so this took quite a lot of time to re do everything, this of course wasted quite a lot of time so therefore our lesson ended because it was only an hour. If we had another opportunity to do the Prelim again, we would be a lot more prepared than we were and organise it at times when it was not busy. We would do more shots and think of a better introduction by using more elements that will help us improve the whole Prelim. I think the whole group done well by giving each other idea’s on what we could do to make it better but I think we done well.
